Ergomed Group Appoints Jovan Willford as Chief Executive Officer

Experienced executive across life sciences data and technology-enabled healthcare to lead Ergomed’s next phase of growth across CRO, pharmacovigilance and consulting.
Ergomed Group, a specialist global provider of clinical research and pharmacovigilance services spanning its Ergomed CRO, PrimeVigilance and ADAMAS Consulting businesses, today announced the appointment of Jovan Willford as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 2. Jovan succeeds Zubair Javeed, who has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer alongside his role as Chief Financial Officer; Zubair will continue as CFO.
Jovan joins Ergomed from Cytel, a leading provider of statistical software and advanced analytics for clinical trial design and execution, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to Cytel, he was an advisor to several private equity sponsors focused on thematic investing in the life sciences segment. Jovan previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Healthgrades and Mercury Healthcare, leading the businesses through significant operational transformation and a successful sale.
Earlier in his career, Jovan spent nearly a decade in senior executive roles at IQVIA, a leading provider of advanced analytics, technology and services to the life sciences industry. There, he led a global clinical business across 72 countries, was a founding member of IQVIA’s real-world evidence teams in North America and Asia and led the US commercial solutions business. He also played a central leadership role in the Quintiles–IMS Health merger in both strategy and post-merger integration. His earlier career includes strategy consulting roles at Strategy& (formerly Katzenbach Partners) and Accenture.

Jovan holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with a focus on strategy, managerial economics and international business, and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame.
