Ergomed Clinical Research, the CRO within the Ergomed Group portfolio of professional services companies, today announced the appointment of Bryan Haas as Chief Clinical Research Officer. Haas will lead Ergomed Clinical Research and join the Ergomed Group Executive Team, reporting to Jovan Willford, incoming Chief Executive Officer of Ergomed Group.

Haas brings more than 25 years of experience in clinical research, clinical operations and CRO leadership, including senior roles at PPD, PRA Health Sciences and ICON. Most recently, he was senior vice president of commercialization and outcomes research at ICON, where he held profit-and-loss responsibility and led business growth across a broad portfolio of clinical, commercial and real-world evidence solutions. Earlier, he was senior vice president and general manager, and interim president of ICON Biotech Solutions.

Bryan Haas began as a clinical research associate, then moved through project management and clinical operations before taking on executive roles. Those years working alongside sites, study teams and sponsors gave him firsthand knowledge of what the work asks of the people who move clinical development forward, and of how much a trial’s success, and a client’s experience of it, depends on roles such as the project manager.
He brings that perspective to how he leads. As the expectations of sponsors, sites and patients have changed, Haas applies his hands-on experience to help teams build new skills and adapt to change, so the people closest to the trial are equipped to succeed.

Haas holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
